My name is Billy Park. I am a father of two girls. I am trying to give them what every parent wants for their kids, a kinder world. In 2017 saddened by all the division in our country I started a movement called HUG IT OUT AMERICA  The goal was simple, shrink the divide one huggable American at a time by giving hugs in every state in the nation. I reached 26 states, gave thousands and thousands of hugs, but then the Pandemic hit. So I headed home to quarantine like everybody else but also took to hugging America from my lazy boy I  started a radio station called Hug It Out America Live. I interviewed a lot of different-minded Americans including a former neo-nazi, a black man who befriended the KKK, and a federal felon. Once the nation opened back up I turned off the mic and opened a community space called One Love to recapture some of the humanity the virus stole from all of us. Unfortunately, even with all my efforts, I have seen the divide only get wider and deeper.  And the news and social media only makes it worse. What I learned is try as they may politicians can't fix this. Nor can I on my own. It takes every one of us to reach out to understand our so called ''enemies". Kind of like when I started, But instead of one hug at a time.. it's one cup at a time.
